Accreditation Statement

Cranston-Johnston Regional Catholic School is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) through its Commission of Independent Schools. NEASC is a non-governmental agency nationally recognized organization whose affiliated institutions include elementary schools through colleges and universities.

 Accreditation of an institution by NEASC indicates that the school meets or exceeds criteria for the assessment of schools by means of periodic peer reviews.  An accredited school or college is one which “has available the necessary resources to achieve its stated purposes through appropriate educational programs, is substantially doing so, and gives reasonable evidence that it will continue to do so in the future.” Institutional integrity is also addressed through the accreditation process.

 Cranston-Johnston Catholic Regional Schools is a member in good standing of NEASC.  It should be noted that not all private, independent or parochial schools are accredited members of NEASC.

Additional Professional Affiliations

 Cranston-Johnston Catholic Regional School is also a proud member of the National Catholic Educators Association (NCEA) which delivers staff development, curricular and instructional opportunities through its many member conferences and workshops.

 Additionally, administrators are members in good standing of the Rhode Island Association of Elementary Principals  and Rhode Island Association of Secondary School Principals. 

 All teachers are encouraged to foster membership in subject area organizations such as the National Association of Teachers of Math and the National Association of Science Teachers, International Reading Association and more.
